Atrocious. That's what I felt when I read this article. I am sure so many people must be lapping this all up. They do not have a problem with all the ever changing "thoughts" of our beloved scientists. If it was said by a scientist then it must be a hardcore fact. Let me take some of the lines of the article to show you what I mean..."Many scientists had thought the violent pelting by massive asteroids during the period known as the Late Heavy Bombardment would have melted the Earth's crust and vaporized any life on the planet." The scientists themselves admit it is their thought. And of course they have the right to change their thoughts multiple number of times. There was also recently a hyped up case of discovering Ida,humans earliest ancestor which even Time magazine brushed it off as a ballyhoo.

I do not have any problem with our scientists about their thoughts and assumptions. It is when they say that we have to take their word as the gospel truth that I find difficult to come to terms with. It is heresy if you question their deductions and their latest version of the origin of life. I feel sorry for the people who are mislead by these scientists. Matt 15:14 talks about blind leaders of the blind.I feel this is all like a part at controlling our minds. This kind of mind control is already being used constantly on America’s children through the public education system, the secular media, and science museums even in many "Christian" schools and colleges.Take for example this mandatory lesson about homosexuality for kindergartners!! http://worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=99442

Lust for entertainment

It is sad to see the sorry state of Christianity today. Everything has to be a form of entertainment. You will be surprised at the growing number of "Christian" rock bands and "Christian" movies being released everyday. Do these things which have the Christian tag attached to them, in any way send the message what Christ preached? Do they even come close?

 How long will it take for us to understand that rather than bringing people to Christ, these kind of entertainment actually take our youngsters far away from the love and salvation that Christ preached. I can tell you that they are far from the Kingdom of God. Rom 14:17. Looking at the old testament, we see how God was angry at the Israelites who abandoned Him to go after their own lusts when Moses had gone up the mountain to receive His Commandments. He calls them idolaters. 1 Cor 10:7.

I was really surprised to read a news article telling about how even Churches are bringing out movies in the name of spreading the Gospel. Read it here:

How can a movie ever bring a person to Christ? All it does is create an emotional high for sometime just like how people jump around and wave their arms and scream during a rock concert!! Does it bring about true repentance?? Does it bring about the true yearning for Christ?How about bringing about a change of heart and becoming a new creation? 2 Cor 5:17.

Talking about diluting the Word of God, we see mega churches springing up everywhere preaching about prosperity and riches and promotion while leaving out the message of the cross and denying oneself. Mark 8:34. They say that all you gotta do is to "invite Jesus" into your life by saying a short prayer and that's it!! YOU ARE SAVED!! Now you can live any way that you want to. Nobody is going to question you or point out your faults. Sheep without a shepherd! That's what I would call them.

Next we have church campaigns and billboards advertising about sex to increase their attendance!!

Is this something which you need to preach from the pulpit? This is the sorry state we are in today. We need to turn back my friends. Let us leave our lust for entertainment. Lets not make our places of worship as another place of entertainment.

Money money money

The Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil in 1 Timothy 6:10 and Hebrews 13:5. How true. Recently I heard how certain well known ministers and televangelists were accused of amassing wealth and living an luxurious lifestyle. It was dumbfounding to read about their number of mansions, luxury cars and private jets. 

These are our ministers, the very people who should be an example for others to follow and supposedly ministering the word of God. Jesus said that He came to serve and not to be served   Matthew 20:28. He also said that He have no place to rest His head Matthew 8:20.

So we expect such ministers to be ashamed of their actions right? No. They are crying foul. They accuse that the government is trying to interfere in their finances. Well, who is to blame for that now? It wouldn't have happened if you were a "Christ"ian in the first place. I do not believe they are true followers of Christ since He said that no man can serve two masters Matthew 6:24.

May God forgive you for dishonoring His name.

"Family" Guy

I had recently mentioned in a post about our "conservative" channels and our "conservative" audience. Here is some more proof of their conservative garbage.

The name of the program itself is an insult to anyone with a family. And I am sure these kinds of programs will have a high viewership. Why do you think all these programs are broadcasted without any censorship? What is the ultimate aim of any channel or any industry for that matter? It ultimately boils down to....Money. That’s all what matters.....give them what they want. You will be amazed if you browse through their website. The kind of news and ads that they post on their front page are purely disgusting.

 Mind you I am not telling that they don't have the right to do anything that they want. I just want to highlight the fact they promote themselves as conservative which is almost synonymous to Christian to many people and they thus dishonor the name of my God.

Exodus 20:7  Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain 

If you have anything to do with Christ, it will be obvious from from your character and actions. Everything that you do will be a reflection of that 2 Peter 1:4.

U.K. Deports Christians Under New Immigration Rules

Yeah you heard that right, kicked out! I am not talking of any country in the middle east. It is a new visa regulation.....you gotta have work visas for doing anything connected with Christianity.This is the country which used to send out missionaries to the whole world. It used to be said that the Sun never sets on the British empire. It sounds to me like it is setting now.I have got to agree, we are truly "evolving"!!  

The coming evangelical collapse

I found this to be a very helpful and informative article by Michael Spencer. I hope this serves as a warning for us. I know that the damage is already done but I am sure it might still not be too late for many parents. The article highlights very well the areas where we failed. 

Many Americans believe that being conservative = being a christian. I have heard many christians proudly say that they watch only  conservative news channels not the liberal ones. I will say you are really muddled up. You cannot mix Christianity with political conservatism. That is not what Christ taught. That is not why He called you. I do not want to get into any specifics here but lets come back to Him. 

The Bible says in Romans 10:21, All day longI have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people. Again in Romans 8:7, Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Judge orders homeschoolers into public district classrooms

The funny part of the above story is that the children tested above their grade levels  by 2 years and that the  mother moved into a home school schedule because the children were not doing as well as she hoped at the local public schools!!

The Judge acknowledges that he was putting his judgement in place of the mother.This is in spite of the recent ruling by a California court recognising homeschooling as a form of private school. Their ruling states that  "Parents possess a constitutional liberty interest in directing the education of their children, but the right must yield to state interests in certain circumstances." 

So there...if it can happen to her, it can happen to anybody. Can you believe this? You have lost your constitutional right to make educational choices for your children. Where is this country heading?

Survey finds more Americans have no religion

I do not think if anyone was surprised with this recent survey. It is very obvious. I was reading through different christian blogs the last couple of days and was saddened to read the comments of readers. Majority of them are against anything to do with the Bible or God. Some are so vehement in their accusations. The articles by the way were very inspiring for me and strengthened my faith but I found out that no matter how you put it, they simply wouldn't believe. Their "faith" in atheism is so strong. That brings to mind a scripture:

"You will be ever hearing but never understanding; 
      you will be ever seeing but never perceiving." 
 For this people's heart has become calloused; 
      they hardly hear with their ears, 
      and they have closed their eyes. 
Otherwise they might see with their eyes, 
      hear with their ears, 
      understand with their hearts 
      and turn, and I would heal them. Acts 28:26,27 (NIV).

Embryonic stem cell research - Need of the hour?

As I am writing this President Obama has signed an order lifting restrictions on stem cell research funding or if I put it more specifically, embryonic stem cell research. I cannot understand why is the President in such a hurry? Is he fulfilling all his promises to the public he made as a presidential candidate? Or is he trying to distract the public from the economic crisis? I am not sure. Warren Buffet who is called as the "worlds best investor"says today that the Economy has fallen off a cliff!! While the World Bank said that the economy is worst since the Great Depression.

What I want to know is if this is really necessary now in the present scenario? Lets get a few facts straight first. Federal funding was limited in embryonic stem cells research to a few existing stem cell colonies but this did not mean that stem cell research was illegal. Just like the recent reversal of anti abortion policy, it does not mean there were no abortions taking place in the country! The only difference is Federal funding. Now you have plenty of taxpayers money at your disposal for "research". And mind you, such research has been going on in other countries where there are no regulations on ES research for quite some time now. And do you want to know the outcome of so much of research? Let me quote from Wikipedia:

After nearly 10 years of research, there are no approved treatments or human trials using ES cells. ES cells being pluripotent cells, require specific signals for correct differentiation - if injected directly into another body, ES cells will differentiate into many different type of cells, causing a teratoma(ie a tumor) Because of their combined abilities of onlimited expansion and pluripotency. ES cells remain a theoritically potential source for regenerative medicine and tissue replacement after injury or disease.

So what is the need of repealing a previous executive order dear President Obama? What do you intend to gain other than opening up a Pandora"s box? You said embryos can be got from couples who donate them willingly or from fertility clinics where there are plenty. Do you believe that human life is different from other forms of life dear President? Do you know that we are created in the very image of God? 

Are you trying to play God Mr. President?

Northern Ireland tops creationist belief survey

I personally have talked to people from Ireland many times and every time I have found out how family oriented they are and how much they value christian traditions and beliefs. I find myself getting close to them because I also share their same kind of principles.

Lets hold on to our Christian values my friends. 

The Bible tells us in Mat 5:14  Ye are the light of the world. Also in Mat 5:13  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men. 

If we stand steadfast we will attain the spiritual maturity that God requires of us.

Eph 4:14  that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error; 

Eph 4:15  but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, even Christ; 

So lets stand firm and also be a light and guide for others. Let us not be ashamed of the Gospel. Our life should be an example for others to follow.

Rom 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;

I thought Atheists were supposed to have no Gods.....come on people ....make up your minds.

Frankly speaking I do not mind them having Darwin as their God. In fact it pleases me enormously....So I think Atheism can now be called as a New Age Religion. Don't you think it fits them perfectly.

Man is born to worship. The only difference is what he worships. For some it is God Almighty,for others it is movie stars or rock stars,for some its their mansions or their cars and for some as we saw above.... it is Darwin!

I confess this article is not very new but the message is clear. Thats why it prompted me to caption this article with the same name as the documentary starring Ben Stein. This answers the critics of the movie who said it was Ben Stein pushing his  Intelligent Design views.

In the developed world of the 21st century if there is anything called intolerance then it is the intolerance to people who believe in a God who created them. It is considered sacrilege to speak like that to even our own kids....."you are corrupting their minds with your hocus pocus" they say.

 According to them, this biblical viewpont is what is corrupting our youngsters and teenagers. It is what is making them take a shotgun and shoot at their classmates or even their own parents. Will teaching this viewpoint make us have the highest number of teenage pregnancies and college drop outs? 

How do you think will be the mindset of our children who grow up learning that they all were monkeys who were recently jumping from tree to tree (please dont ask why these monkeys are still around). Its all evolution and survival of the fittest they say!! Evolution!! Evolve from what?? Evolve from nothing to something? I challenge all the scientists in the world to make a single living cell. They know a cell inside out,they have all the raw materials but why cant they? If what we read in Genesis is a fairy tale....then there is no reason to believe what is in the middle and the end of the Book either. There...an atheist is born. 

Even now there is a standoff in certain schools in the US where they decided to teach creation along with Evolution. Considering that only fewer than 4 in 10 believe in Evolution in US according to a recent poll released on Darwins 200th birth anniversary, I wonder how they are able to pass laws and amendments banning such teaching!! The return to the "Animal Kingdom"

I recently happened to read a post in the BBC captioned "can people unlearn their naked shame"

Is this for real?? how much more stupid can you be? What made me really laugh was this comment......It's one of the greatest mysteries in evolution, and even bothered Charles Darwin. One of the theories is that we lost our fur as a way of dealing with the heat of the sun. It's controversial, as most mammals use fur to protect them from the sun. But some anthropologists believe our ancestors' unique ability to sweat, along with their upright stance, meant we could cool quicker without fur - prompting the onset of human nudity.

What is more amazing is how even intelligent people believe in this nonsense. "some anthropologists believe" it seems. And these anthropologists have the freedom to change their beliefs at a rate of 100 times each year!! But that does'nt matter. All hell will break loose if you question them though....So watch out.

Can you see where all this is heading....As you must have read the article above....we have people researching on why we are wearing clothes. Tomorrow we will have people say...why should there be families? why marriage? why anything? We were animals...so we will be animals now and even behave like one!!!
